Outline:
This advanced seminar provides an in-depth, clinically practical framework for assessing and treating acne, rosacea, and perioral dermatitis through a barrier-first lens. Participants will explore epidermal barrier physiology, lipidomics, microbiome interactions, and immune signaling to better understand why conventional treatment approaches often fail or worsen inflammation. Using a phased, protocol-based model, the presentation guides clinicians in determining barrier readiness, selecting appropriate interventions, and safely integrating topical, internal, and in-clinic therapies. Through real-world case examples and decision-making tools, attendees will gain the confidence to reduce treatment flares, improve patient tolerance, and achieve more predictable outcomes in complex inflammatory skin conditions.
