Outline:

Mold and mycotoxin illness are an emerging concern in today’s chronic disease landscape. As Naturopathic Doctors we need the tools to recognize, evaluate, support, and treat mold and mycotoxin illness.

This talk will review the most common clinical presentations of mold and mycotoxin illness in a systemsbiology model. We will discuss the emergence of mold and mycotoxin illness based on genetic susceptibility, co-morbid infections, and defense responses. From the complete blood count to functional lab testing, assessment options will be explored.

Treatment modalities from dietary modifications, nervous system regulation to complex integrative protocols will be discussed.

Lastly, we will discuss how to work collaboratively with other health care professionals to supportand treat these complicated patients.
