Privacy Law and a Regulatory Update for Naturopaths by Lonny Rosen LLB CS at our Live Event in 2018.

In the first hour, an overview of privacy law for naturopaths will be presented. A review the basics of the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (“PHIPA”), the obligations of health information custodians, and the most significant decisions of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario (the “IPC”) will follow.

In the second hour, the noteworthy decisions by the Discipline and Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committees of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (“CONO”) will be reviewed, as well as noteworthy decisions respecting other health professionals in Ontario from the past year.
