Description
This course provides an overview of IV nutrient therapy, including its historical evolution, current applications, and key considerations for safe administration. Participants will explore research updates on intravenous vitamin therapy, along with key safety considerations for special populations. The course also focuses on formulating IV treatments with an emphasis on nutrient interactions and patient safety. Best practices for IV administration—push, piggyback, drip rate, and pH considerations—will be reviewed based on updated Infusion Nursing Society standards. Case examples will reinforce clinical reasoning, ensuring participants can confidently apply their knowledge in practice.
